In the example the instructor creates an announcement and schedules
it to be displayed during a specific date range in the future. For example,
the instructor wants to post homework solutions only for a few days
following the homework collection. To begin display of the announcement,
the "Active" checkbox is unchecked, and the "Activation Date" is entered.
To expire the announcement, the "Expiration Date" is also entered. Before
and after these dates, the announcement is "inactive," and is not included
with active announcement when reports are generated. Notice that in this
example, the "Importable" checkbox is checked. When an announcement is
importable, it is included along with categories and assessments when a new
course is created from an existing course. This feature is useful if an
instructor wishes to reuse an announcement in a future course. For example,
if the instructor teaches the same course again, the announcements will be
ready to reuse without having to manually re-enter them.
The instructor
